Sat on the jury of film industry professionals to hear pitches from the Advanced Documentary Film Production class, deliberate, and decide which projects would get the green light. Advised students on pitching, documentary structure, and career trajectories.

Communications Coordinator
Designed and implemented marketing strategy to increase the non-profit's online presence and audience engagement. Created, edited, and posted publicity materials promoting events and programs to online channels (social media, e-newsletter, website, etc.) using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite, Canva, MailChimp, Wordpress, and other applications.
Video and sound recording, and photographing of live events. Video and photo editing using Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro Studio.

Guest Speaker/Video Instructor
Instructed on video production and post-production basics to the Foundations of Digital Communications Strategy and Social Media class, and the Advanced Practices in Digital Reputation Management class, for their video assignments. Advised students during the shooting and editing process, provided technical support.
Makin' Movies Inc (May 2015 - April 2017)

Assisted the picture editor and digital media editor in cutting the feature and online interactive documentary “My Millennial Life.” Used Final Cut Pro Studio, Adobe Creative Suite, PluralEyes, Flicker Free, and other video editing software. Designed organizational system to keep track of all footage, sound files, photos, and records. Researched relevant content and statistics for use in the online interactive documentary.

Events Associate
Planned and budgeted for film industry events leading up to and during the 2015 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, for up to 600 guests. Researched, negotiated with, and booked venues. Created floor plans and menus. Sourced decor, catering, florals, art and interactive installations, and rentals. Supervised event set-up and logistics. Managed teams of volunteers. Performed/oversaw front-of-house duties, and hosted events.
Liaised with Hot Docs Showcase outreach organizers and compiled data from box office reports in Salesforce.
Royal Ontario Museum (June 2012 - September 2016) >
ROMKids Instructor
Researched historical and cultural subjects and created course outlines and lesson plans that included gallery visits, crafts, and activities. Arranged visiting instructors/workshops. Taught film production skills and film history, and empowered participating campers to create their own videos.
Managed Assistants and Volunteers, and collaborated with other Instructors to ensure a safe, happy and high-quality learning experience for campers aged 5-16.
Work skills training including: Leadership training, Quality Arts Education, Sensitivity to and Planning for Different Abilities, and Health and Safety.

Wellesley Community Centre Camp Counsellor
Supervised children aged 6 to 12 in a summer day camp. Planned and facilitated crafts, games, sports, field trips, cooking, and other activities. Performed administrative duties including filing, answering phones, and handling membership requests.
Work skills training as part of the TDSB's Focus On Youth initiative included: Emergency First Aid with CPR training and certification, Orientation to Leadership, Peacemaking and Peer Mediation, and Dealing with Challenging Issues.
Toronto International Film Festival (September 2006 - June 2007)
Youth Education Intern
Was the first high school age intern at TIFF, and won a certificate of achievement for Co-operative Education. Contributed lesson plans to the Reel Learning Newsletter, Website and Sprockets Study Guide and researched programming for senior staff. Helped organize and facilitate Sprockets (now the TIFF Kids International Film Festival) and other Youth Education department events, including scheduling guest speakers, pre-screening submissions, website upkeep, and database input.
